the saddest entry ever

it's may day off and i'm not sick. yey. i have time to surf and chill. lovely. :)

it's just me and gab here at home. mother is out on a class trip in dumaguete and dad is in the states with erika for a conference. its strange how the house can get so quiet. i'm usually out cuz of work or school, so the few times i'm home is when there's a family lunch or something. i had no idea that this house is normally dull and dead on normal days... like today. its pretty and clean... but really dead. hmmm.

anyway.

i've been so out of touch with my old friends that i have been labelled "A MYSTERY" by them. haha. its kinduv fun. a month back, jill had a despedida party (which went way too well in the booze department... sigh...) and i got to reunite with friends from high school and college. it was so great! i mean... BEA VILLAMOR WAS THERE!!! the night couldn't have been funner! (you missed one heckuva party, lovine :P)... and so were the dabesht people... gawd... a word i haven't said in ages... "dabesht"... the xavier boys were there too (JAYVI ARUTA! MY GOODNESS! YOU'RE ALIVE TOO!)... plus some of the doghouse people, including the swooner himself, mr. john rey. it was awesome.

so everyone was like, "MIC!!! YOU'RE ALIVE!!! we thought you went to the states or something! WHAT'VE YOU BEEN UP TO!?!?" as in... EVERY single person i talked to that night... it was exagg. it was tiring having to answer the same question over and over again, but i didn't mind so much cuz i missed these people. even if i don't really get in touch with them, it's nice to be acknowledged that way by people you once had close bonds with.

yesterday, i had time to watch Just Like Heaven (cuz i was sick in bed again) where reese witherspoon's character was this workaholic, anti-social doctor. and it kinda got me into thinking about myself. it's slowly dawning on me that i never really cared about being part of a group or barkada. i have lots of acquaintances... and i know a lot of people... but when i feel like just chilling out with a few people i'm REALLY comfortable with, my mind goes blank. even now, where i work, i realize i'm too focused on getting work done instead of socializing or mingling with my workmates. one of them called me a "workaholic" and STRANGELY, it was fine by me. SO WEIRD. and so sad. i mean... i always thought that having friends and keeping them was important. but judging from everything that's been going on in my life NOW, parang hindi pala ako ganon mag-isip talaga. or maybe how i think changed after incidents... hmmm...

i'm blabbing nonsense like crazy. yeesh.

i guess all i wanted to say was that i miss having real friends... having to trust someone other than my family and mike... which isn't bad at all... its just that... yun... i miss having real friends.
